This is how easy a furniture lift is to use during a move

The furniture lift, similar to a construction lift often seen on many building sites, revolutionises your move. Your moving company comes directly to your apartment and installs the furniture lift on the outside of the building. With a combination of ladder-like rails and a fold-out platform, a large, level surface is created that is ideal for bulky furniture and many moving boxes.

Moving with a furniture lift has never been this convenient. The platform is loaded directly from the window or balcony and safely transported down using a hydraulic drive. Depending on the model, the technical specifications may vary, but furniture lifts can reach impressive heights of up to 30 metres, which corresponds to around seven floors. The load capacity is typically between 300 and 400 kilograms, meaning even heavy items can be transported with ease. When is a furniture lift useful and when is it not? When is it worth using?

Planning your move? Consider in advance whether it is worth renting a furniture lift. A furniture lift is particularly useful for a large move with many boxes and pieces of furniture, if your apartment is on a high floor without a lift, if narrow doors and a tight stairwell make transport more difficult, or if you need to move bulky furniture or objects.

However, there are also conditions that can make using a furniture lift difficult or impossible. If the window or balcony is not large enough to lift bulky furniture onto the platform, or if the access route to the window is blocked by vegetation or other obstacles and there is not enough space in front of the building, use may become problematic. You should also avoid using a furniture lift if the window is not flush with the building façade or if the balcony or its railing is not stable enough. In addition, severe weather with strong storms or heavy precipitation can make safe operation of the furniture lift impossible. So plan your move carefully and make use of the benefits of a furniture lift when the conditions are right. This will make your move more efficient and less stressful!
