As Head of Forwarding with a focus on partner and network management (m/f/d) at DACHSER & KOLB in Kempten, you lead teams, manage partners and optimize processes. You develop our national and international network while ensuring quality, efficiency and service excellence.
Your responsibilities
- As department head, you will be responsible for the disciplinary and professional leadership of your team, as well as its targeted development.
- After successful onboarding, you will act as the central point of contact for your team and work closely with executive management to actively optimize all workflows and departmental structures.
- You will independently maintain and expand our partner network, including FIDI and IAM, within Germany and across Europe.
- You will be responsible for contract and financial management between DACHSER & KOLB and our service partners.
- You will prepare regular reports to support well-founded analysis and control of the successful collaboration and performance of our partner network.
- You will be responsible for ensuring and monitoring our high quality standards within the international partner network, including performance evaluations and audit preparation.
- You will implement appropriate optimization measures to achieve service excellence.
What you should bring
- You have completed vocational training as a Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk, a degree with a focus on logistics, or an equivalent qualification.
- You have solid, several years of professional and leadership experience in the forwarding or logistics sector.
- Experience in network management and working with international partners is desirable.
- You have business-fluent English skills, at least B2 level, for communication within the international network.
- Additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
- You have strong communication skills and a confident professional presence.
- You are persuasive, assertive, resilient, and solution-oriented in the way you work.
